What is Lip Filler?

Lip Filling is the procedure that gives you fuller and plumper lips. It is common for doctors to insert a dermal filler to make this happen. Many types of fillers can be used, but the most common types are hyaluronic acid products. This is a natural substance that is found in your body and can help increase the volume in your lips.

Before the injection, the doctor will apply a topical or local numbing agent to ease discomfort. Then the area is carefully marked where the injections should be placed. Next, very fine needles are used to inject the substance into your lips. Following injection, you may be given ice to ease the discomfort and help with swelling. You will begin to see effects of the filler within 2-3 days.
